The Parish Council owns and administers a small collection of assets on behalf of the community, these are:

Eleven kissing gates
The bus shelter in Kington Magna
The war memorial in Kington Magna
The parish burial ground in Kington Magna
Notice boards in both villages
The youth shelter on the village green in Buckhorn Weston
Fifteen grit bins distributed amongst both villages
The water trough in Kington Magna
The play area in Kington Magna
The laptop computer and printer for the Parish Clerk

Applications for Capital Project Funding 2023/24

The Parish Council has released a limited amount of grant funding, (£2000 each for Buckhorn Weston and Kington Magna), and applications are invited from individuals or organisations for capital grant support funding of community focused projects in the Parish during the 2023/24 Financial Year.

New Ways to Contact Housing – People most needing urgent housing help are being better prioritised with new points of contact and a triage system, with just one number and two email addresses, to make the service more efficient. 01305 221000 is the new single number for housing support. From here people can choose housing register (social housing), homelessness support or general housing advice. Two email addresses, one for the housing register: dorsetcouncilhomechoice@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk and one for housing advice and homelessness: housinghelp@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk, are now available. The existing addresses and phone numbers will be phased out gradually and all communication to them will be responded to.
